A traffic citation has been issued for you to appear before the City of Abbeville Municipal Court. If you desire a Court Hearing, appear on the Court Date and time shown on your citation.


Certain charges may be paid without appearing in Court if you wish to enter a plea of guilty. To obtain information as to the amount of these fines and any other information regarding your citation, come to, write  or phone the City of Abbeville Municipal Court Office between 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Please wait at least 4 days before calling or coming by to allow time for your citation to be processed.

After the amount of your fine has been established you may pay it by mailing a MONEY ORDER or CASHIER'S CHECK made payable to CITY OF ABBEVILLE MUNICIPAL COURT. NO PERSONAL CHECKS. You may also pay online by using the link below.

All payments must be received at least 24 hours in advance of  the court date on your ticket.

YOU MUST PAY YOUR FINE TO THE COURT OFFICE.  YOU CANNOT PAY YOUR FINE AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

Failure to pay or appear by Court Date can result in a WARRANT FOR YOUR ARREST and SUSPENSION OF YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE.
